Julie is a full time faculty in the Dental Hygiene Program at Eugenio Maria de Hostos Community College in Bronx, New York. She has been in the field of dental hygiene for over 35 years. Her experience includes private practice, hospital and academia. Julie has published in various peered reviewed and industry journals. Julie has presented nationally and internationally on oral health.  She has been a book reviewer for several dental hygiene textbooks. Julie is currently President of the New York Chapter of the Hispanic Dental Association, member of the American Association for Community Dental Programs, and American Dental Educator’s Association. Julie volunteer’s yearly for the Give Kids a Smile Day with the New York County Dental Society.
