Dr. Garcia received his Doctoral Degree in Dentistry at the Universidad del Valle in Colombia. He worked as dentist with state agencies in his country of origin, but after he decided to move to the United States to continue his studies at the beginning of the millennium.  He studied a postdoctoral program in Orthodontics at the United States Dental Institute (USDI), a Master Degree in Public Health Administration in HealthCare Management (MPA) at the Grand Canyon University, and in 2014 he obtained his degree in Dental Higyene at Hostos Community College, in New York City. 

Currently he is member at the Scottish Rite Valley of New York, and elected as part of the board of directors at the NYHDA this 2020.
